The Lethbridge Action Circle is hosting and supporting a number of events (AIL's and otherwise) during early December 2011 in an effort to make this year's Write for Rights bigger and better than ever! It's our 5th annual Write for Rights and we want you to join us!

On Tuesday, December 6 we are gathering at Round Street Cafe at 7pm for our monthly Letter Writing Circle and to launch Write for Rights.

On Saturday, December 10 we are gathering again at Round Street Cafe from 5-9pm to challenge ourselves to make a difference by writing and raising money for human rights. We are joining thousands of people around the globe in the world's biggest letter writing event, and we'd like you to be a part of it!

You can help everyone's letters go farther by making a donation to Amnesty International. Please help us reach our goal. Every letter counts. One letter could save a life. Please support Amnesty International's mission to protect and promote human rights for everyone around the globe.

There are several ways you can participate...

Donate online to support our Team: This can be a flat rate donation or you can pledge to us to donate a certain amount per letter written during our event. Last year our group collectively wrote 350 letters and greeting cards. Go to our fundraising page by clicking on AMNESTY LETHBRIDGE under the "My Team Members" banner on the right side of this page to sponsor us.

Donate online to support another one of our Individual Team Members: This too can be a flat rate donation or you can pledge to donate a certain amount per letter that they personally write during our event. Their Team Member page may state their personal letter-writing goal. You can visit each individual's page under the "My Team Members".

Become a Team Member and seek pledges and donation: It's super easy and makes raising money a breeze. Register to be a participant and then join our Team. If you need support in setting up your page or fundraising, please contact Arron (arronkwilson [at] yahoo.ca).

Attend the Event! Regardless of whether you do any of the above, please come out on December 10 to the Round Street Cafe at 5pm to help us write as many letters as possible. We will have fun and change lives. Bring your friends! Help us beat our record from 2009 of 480 letters and greeting cards and show Amnesty International Canada how much our small City can do for Human Rights!!
